Bring Your Business Downtown and Get Paid for Doing It!

The Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation (DSDC), with the support of the North Louisiana Community Foundation, is making it easier for businesses to locate in historic downtown Shreveport. Downtown Shreveport, the heart of finance, government and the courts and the hub of the area’s growing art economy, is a natural for business location or expansion.

DSDC has partnered with the region’s most prestigious office buildings to offer Do Business Downtown, a grant that offers six months of rental and/or parking assistance to companies moving to the city center.

Partner properties include American Tower, the Beck Building, Beaird Tower, Chase Tower, the Lane Building, Lofts @ 624, Louisiana Tower, MidSouth Tower, One Texas Centre, Travis Place and Regions Center. These properties provide a wide range of spaces, rent and amenities, but all provide the same great placement downtown and access to important businesses and governmental offices. Many of these properties will be offering match incentives to the Do Business Downtown grant.

To qualify, businesses must be new to downtown, and must sign a 36-month lease with one of our partner properties. The business can be office or retail in nature. See the rules at www.downtownshreveport.com to learn what types of businesses can apply.

The grant will be offered until the money is gone and applications can be accepted now. Prospective businesses should contact downtown property managers/Realtors directly to begin the process of checking out the wide variety of historic or modern, plush or spare, ground-level or high-rise, amenity-heavy or more free-flowing options downtown!
